THE PAPARAZZI AT LAX
LAX-Paparazzi.com is part of The PAPARAZZI Reform Initiative and is put forth solely to educate the public regarding the paparazzi at LAX and to effect changes that result in an easy and safe environment for all visitors to the world's sixth busiest airport.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a natural magnet for the paparazzi because celebrities must go across a narrow strip of public real estate to get to the security screening area which turns the sidewalk in front of the terminal into a free-for-all paparazzi zone. Sometimes dozens of paparazzi show up to get a shot of a celebrity causing a massive jam-up for everyone. When children are with the celebrity, it can be even worse. Security and airport personnel are commonly needed to assist with the safe exit of the celebrity and to do what they can to control the paparazzi.
In one of the busiest airports in the world, in an age where we can't board an airplane with more than 3 ounces of toothpaste in our bag, during an active war on terrorism, in a "civilized" and "rational" society, should we allow packs of photographers to block and swarm people and take photos of anything they want at one of our major international airports?
This site is dedicated to raising awareness of this problem to the point that change is made so that everyone, regardless of fame or not, can walk through LAX without harassment from the paparazzi.
We invite and encourage you to view the videos on this site to see for yourself what its like at LAX when the paparazzi are after a photo and if you agree that something should change, help by taking action.
